| after a day of awful travel, i am home. alone. and missing everything about praha. especially stephanie. and our flat. and the metro. and pastries for breakfast. and poop park. and potato pancakes. and noodles. and petra. and nakladany hermeline. and jarda. ugh :( this shall be a sad day. but hey, wedding tomorrow. flowers today. thanks for reading... cau praha! mam rada! | | |
| well its almost over. 2 tests today, then goodbyes to petra and jarda, then off to the airport. but don't worry, we're getting one last schnitzel before we leave. talk to you all very soon. | | |
| everyone smokes. clerks will try their damndest not to make change. trams never come on the side of the street we're on. it rains almost every day. the sun doesn't set until 10:30 but rises way too early. we're the only ones who don't drink ourselves stupid every night. steph is always two paces ahead of me. people don't understand you even if you speak in czech. the museum is always closer than you think. my hair gets really frizzy. every meal is a 3 course one. women don't disagree with men. it is totally acceptable to bump into someone and keep walking. everyone gives up their seats for their elders on the trams. there are dogs everywhere. you can walk anywhere, in fact, it's encouraged. the children all wear really cute bonnets and wraps. no one exists on sundays. there are beautiful brides in old town square every day. staring is socially acceptable. anything you want can be bought through a street vendor. carbs don't matter. everyone loves bagels. way too much. its cheap to buy a cuban cigar. the castle never gets less beautiful to stare at. the malls are just like american malls. bowling is far different. everyone has a birthday and a name day. i miss you. | | |
| ocean's 13--or dannyho partachi tri--was the best thing ever. not to mention the theater was incredible. its off to stalin's class for one last friday. then home to rest up for tango night with jaroslav the 4th. what a life :) | | |
| trust me bri--if you had this professor, you would love everything but her class too. the restaurant below our apartment is opening. the night before we leave. i think it's god's way of telling us that he really hopes we liked praha. and we most assuredly have. steph and i have been trying to see all the little touristy things we haven't seen yet and take all the pictures you would try to take if you were here for three days but that we've put off because we've been here for a month. not to mention trying to cram every kind of delicious czech food that we're going to die without in our mouth before we leave next wednesday night. this time next week i'll be getting ready to board a plane home. wow. today stalin is taking us out to see the communist museum--but of course we're not going during class time but after because she is a crazy lady. it is really hard for me to care about her class but i thankfully have this little mind in the back of my head that says "hey bobbie, you need this class to graduate..." ugh. off to czech. | | |
